Rick Recht has just completed three big projects. The first two are a live album and film both titled Shabbat Alive LIVE. Both are based on Recht's ever-popular Shabbat Alive service. The film, with an early November release date, includes interviews with teens and Jewish leaders highlighting their connection with Judaism through the Shabbat Alive experience. An accompanying curriculum has been created for educational purposes.  The Shabbat Alive LIVE CD, with an October release date, is a collection of the musical selections from the service.  The third project is a new Jewish rock album entitled, Tear Down The Walls. This album centers on themes of social justice and dismantling racism, and the CD booklet includes wonderful educational definitions and tips on ways to take action to breakdown racism in a community. The album also features special teen guests from African American, white, Jewish and Christian communities. Tear Down The Walls is part of an initiative launched by Rick Recht with the support of the Anti-Defamation League to educate teens and families about racism, discrimination, and prejudice and ways to create a safer and more welcoming environment for all people.

Rick Recht released his highly anticipated secular album in mid-November of 2004. What Feels So Right is Rick Recht's first secular release in over five years including 11 hits highlighting Recht's extraordinary gift for creating pop, hook-laden, meaningful music for the masses. This album is a beautiful compilation of songs about family, love, success, and satisfaction. What Feels So Right offers fans an intimate glimpse into the personal side of Rick Recht. Following the tremendous popularity of Recht's hit song about Israel, The Hope, fans began suggesting the need for a song for America at a time when Americans are beginning to struggle with similar challenges Israel has faced for decades. Rick's rewrite of The Hope, The Hope (America), really hits home and has already received critical acclaim.

Also in November, Rick Recht released his second songbook, Rick Recht Songbook Volume 2. For those who own his first songbook, Shabbat Alive!, this completes the collection. Musical selections from Rick Recht's top-selling CDs The Hope, Tov, and Free To Be The Jew In Me are finally available in this 32 song collection including 144 pages of fully notated music, harmonies, vocal lines, guitar chords, and chord charts. This book also includes a separate section of lyrics and chords only for all songs intended for songleaders and beginning musicians.
