In addition to his role as founder and executive director of the annual Songleader Boot Camp national and regional conferences, Rick has led training seminars at the USCJ Cantors Assembly, PJ Library National Conference, USCJ Jewish Educators Assembly, and communities and synagogues across the United States.

There is no substitute for the electricity that is felt in the room as Rick energizes each and every participant. Our members came away feeling empowered and feeling that they were capable of doing more and reaching higher than they had ever imagined – Edward Edelstein, Executive Director, Jewish Educators Assembly

Coaching

Rick Recht offers custom coaching sessions via Skype or in-person for individuals and groups who want to accelerate growth, learn more, design strategic plans for growth, and receive feedback and guidance throughout implementation.

Offering our staff the chance to participate in this exceptional leadership development workshop elevated our educational program to the next level.  The workshop was spirited and had teachers and madrichim considering their own practice and how to incorporate ideas to maximize their presence in the classroom. – Kim Bodmer, Director of Education Temple Chayai Shalom

Leadership Conferences

Songleader Boot Camp (SLBC) national and regional conferences offer one of the top Jewish leadership training opportunities in North America. Led by Rick Recht and other nationally renowned Jewish leaders, educators and music artists, SLBC teaches participants specific skills and strategies to inspire transformative change in their Jewish communities. At SLBC, education and inspiration are grounded in strategic planning.

Songleader Boot Camp (SLBC) provides powerful Jewish leadership training for rabbis and cantors, Jewish educators, emerging teen leaders, veteran and new songleaders, and Jewish camping staff. The SLBC experience is customized through a range of electives and role-specific specialty tracks.

It is pretty extraordinary!  I have never seen anything like this in any other environment.  The level of inspiration is so high and the commitment to translation is so significant. – Rabbi Sharon Brous – IKAR, Los Angeles
